    I'm not sure what this item is but look like Asian brass or bronze heavy square measure 5 1/2" and 1" deep,I would love to know something about this piece.

      The one referenced in the link says it has "Korea" stamped in a corner on the back. You may want to check yours as it looks like they are identical. - It IS an ashtray. I assume the 12 symbols around the rim depict the chinese zodiac animals but I can't tell if it's in "old Korean" or "new Korean"
