Your doll is a reproduction of a antique China doll. Made in a ceramics class in 1981 and the name is lady who made it .The #8 is mold number that referred to size of doll and was mark on the mold when they copied it . These old molds were used and you could paint doll and ceramics class would fire it ,you also bought hands and feet and made a cloth body and dressed it . They did sell already made clothes also . This was a craze to make your own antique repro doll as at time the prices for authentic one's was at peak . Nice display piece ,
