I bought this from a charity shop in the UK. I would appreciate any info or identification. I have been reliably told that it is from Japan. The label is worn on the base 'foreign'.

      Hi Lucy and welcome!
Your vase is certainly Japanese and probably early 60s. I am not able to identify the factory that made these vases, but they were sold by various companies such as Lefton and Wales.
There is surprisingly a lot of work in these sweeties. The bullicante paperweight base joined to the cased and hot worked top would have required a lot of steps and skill to make.
I don't think others appreciate them quite as I do lol!
      I love the blue!
