    Armyeng
    (17 items)

Taken off an older Taliban Fighter who fought hard but in the end lost the battle. I could not bring myself to leave this on the battlefield but wish now that our differences could have been worked out and we could have talked about this piece and where he got it, as it is a Nepalese knife. I often hold it and think of what stories it must contain hidden within its blade.

Well Jewels its like Plato said "Its only the dead who have seen the end of war" it never leaves you, just have to rationalize it in your own way.

I understand. War is terrible. I was in the army as well, although I cannot say I ever had to cope with what you've seen

Yes I wish they wouldve never changed them! And medics one of the hardest jobs in the Military I have the utmost respect for them. I was an old crusty Engineer but things got a little too PC for me so I retired after 23 years. Still miss it though.

Excellent Bring back "Armyeng"! Thanks for Your Service, Welcome Home, and Enjoy Your Retirement, "You Earned it"! I have always Wondered about this Particular Knife Design, but never looked into it until You posted Yours. It is Rare to find all 4, of a 4 piece knife set, and you have it. Yours looks to be in Great Shape, and Well Made. I did some research as to its origins, thinking it was Mainely just a Head Lopper, but it has allot more to it's Design, as you already know. Thanks for Sharing it!

Reminds me of a poem I memorized while serving over there....Terrible he rode alone his Yemeni sword he bade...Ornament it carried none but the notches in its blade...
