I got this off ebay the other day. there are some very old traces of paint - several layers in the cracks. it was very dry and brittle and i wood waxed it which really brought it to life, and made the old paint visible. I don't know anything about it, but it reminds me of some old Mexican santos i've seen. i plan on mounting it on a base at some point.
