    Hello
My name is Nick I found a medallion 20 years ago while digging a hole on his property in Keansburg, NJ (USA), along the Waackaack Creek.

I have attached a photo of the medallion. I am hoping you could possibly shed some light on what this medallion is, or if you could guide me to someone who could possibly help solve the mystery, I would appreciate it!

Thank you and Happy Holidays and New Year!

    Nick

      How deep was it?
    2. chrang107, 10 years ago
It was about 5 feet down, My old house was along a tidal creek . When digging a part of a new foundation this was found.

If it were close to the surface, I would guess something fairly new, but 5' down makes me really wonder.

This may be a rare artifact from a ancient civilization I have named the "Inverts". Instead of building their pyramids above ground, they built them from the surface down. Their pyramids got filled up over the millenniums instead of eroded down. This is why they are so little known.

If I get the multi-million $ grant I seek from the gov't.. I may be looking for young beautiful girls to help me search for artifacts in such places a Polynesia.

Roy, thanks for more evidence of their existence to present to the gov't. when applying for the grant. How about $15 mil? We can use the medallion as further proof. Lets make it $20 mil.!!! They have given grants to outrageously stupid things.
Sorry chrang! I'm known for taking peoples postes & running with them. Bet there are a few members thinking about the grant idea already. "Just could work!"

Glad to see you are still with us! The face on it rings to me of Greek but don't think it's that old. Could be as recent as 20 yrs or 80 yrs.. If you are on a tidal affected area and the soil is soft, gravity. Five ft. is a bit much though. The soil is going to be high in salt & the corrosion should be more significant. (See, I can use big words too but admit I misspelled it). LOL! Sorry, off on a run again!

The free top two feet was land filled in the 1920 when the original house was built
    18. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Maybe lost in a low spot while the filling was being done back then as it doesn't look all that old. Just judging by your serious reply, are you that straight? Roy, help me here!! Just kidding with you chrang. Just in the fun mode tonite.
