My Brother gave me this lamp which was given to him it looks like an old oil lamp that was converted to electric the wiring looks old. Does anyone have any thoughts on where this might be from or any ideas that I can research? buddha?

There should be some information on the Thumb-wheels as to provenance. Can you upload a better photo or tell us what is inscribed. RER(BOB)

I looked through my catalogues of Victorian metal Banquet/Table lamps and couldn't find this particular one. The burners for these lamps were often replaced so we can't really go by the existing hardware, especially since it was converted. I was hoping that the thumbwheel contained information. Most of the European/English Banquet lamps had burners that contained info. on the thumbwheel. RER(BOB)
