Wow.
I have been on this site for a couple months now, and this post is, by far, the one I am most envious of.
That is a SUPERB collection of logo cufflinks. What kind of advice are you looking for? To sell them or how to wear them or something else?
As far as value, it will obviously be worth the most if you piece it out, but that will take a LONG time, and on average, you are probably looking at an average selling price point around $6-$12 per pair, but that is just a guess.
Selling them as a collection would be a much easier venture, and would command a pretty good lump sum price (I know would bid if I saw this on eBay!).
If you are not interested in selling, then I would recommend wearing them! Even if you have a job that doesn't require cufflinks, you can still get casual French Cuff shirts and proudly display your Dad's collection.
Or, perhaps you are considering taking up the hobby yourself. This is a phenomenal starter set. I have been collecting cufflinks since 1984, but unlike your Dad, I do not collect one specific genre (i.e. corporate logos). I just collect whatever ones I can, regardless of value, design, or age. I vie toward value, as my collection was one built from Swap Meet ventures and some inheritances and gifts. When I buy cufflinks, I rarely spend more than $5-$8 a pair, tops.
Awesome collection. Congrats, and Happy New Year!
