I am thinking this killer pendant is by Bernard Instone. It is unmarked
but in his motif and style. It is 3.5 inches in length with blue tourmalines ( electronic tester) and a gigantic bevel cut rock crystal. Another tourmaline set in the handmade bale. The silver leaves all over and on the back are fine.
This one was spied far & wide - http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/140824-arts-and-crafts-abalone-pendant
You need a nice period chain for it. Saindheim often used recycled circa 1900 guard chains.
Love the abalone pendant.
I have tried several old chains I have but the opening on the back of the bale is kinda small. I am going to have to dig deeper in my stuff to find one. The pendant is very heavy too so I have to find a sturdy chain.....
I've got a few drop pendants with this type of bale. I 'll see if I can dig out a photo for you. Might be your bale is smaller. Might need one with a dog clip or large catch.
Nice buy! Had an eye on it too :-)
This is lovely.
Wow, love it!
Every time I see this beautiful rock crystal and tourmaline pendant it takes my breathe away. It's a cracker.
I know what you mean. It is one stunning piece. Heavy too.
