Given to me over 22 years ago in a town, Haverhill, Suffolk when my husband and I were visiting at the Time, 1992.
Little did I know at the time that years later my husband (born in Haverhill), and I would move there from South Africa.
    Late Victorian mug.
    Staffordshire Mug. Lustre finish.
Just been sitting in my cabinet for years, always taken pride in it. Just for the sheer size of the mug and the year it was made, is fascinating and is still in good condition.

Lovely mug indeed. The back stamp on your mug was used from 1912 onwards. Googling 'Charles Allerton & Sons' would tell you more.

Thank you so very much. That is so interesting. Your help is much appreciated.
It sure is a hearty Mug, with beautiful time period hand painting and glaze, I presume.
