      It is fabulous! I have one similar, bought it from an antique dealer--she told me second part of the 1800's, that is all I know. Yours def shows some age. Just not sure how to date these. Hope someone comes along for you :)

      Thank you! We gave it to my mother in law for Christmas. I'm just curious of its origins so I can give her more information about it.

      Oh yes, I understand. I never could figure out where mine was from, only that it is American. What a nice gift! Maybe someone will know more :)
