    I purchased this vase yesterday.

It has four lobes on the top but is similar to the Welz tri- lobe vases.

The decor is documented on a tri- lobe vase.

Last photo (courtesy Welzebub) is a tri- lobe vase with the same decor.

As another solid link to Welz, this décor is also seen on the ribbed trophy vase, a shape seen in red and black in the Tango exhibition in the Welz case. I had an example of that shape in the same decor as the exhibition example that was stamped with a "Made In Czechoslovakia" mark. Knowing that shape was produced post WWI, it would seemingly extend the range of possibilities for the production period of these to likely be in the 1910 - 1930 range. The factory documentation also shows a style of basket that is commonly sold as Victorian with a thorned handle, being produced as late as 1928. I also had an example of a similar basket with the same style of "Made In Czechoslovakia" mark.

I am of the opinion that establishing that it is Welz production is much more important than narrowing down the production to a very specific time frame.

Here is a link to an article which will show this decor on the ribbed trophy in the third image in the article.

There is another shape, in the post in the following link, which appears to be the same décor. I have several examples of that shape in Welz décors. I believe the examples in that post, including the example in the same decor, to be Welz.

I think it is worth noting that the post linked to in comment 4, has been modified since the link was posted. Previously the poster stated that the vases were thought to be Rückl, but actually unknown.

The user has modified the text to state they can be linked to Rückl using "Empirical Research", and as evidence supporting that claim, there are links to 2 pictures on the internet.

It is also worth mentioning that the second image link in that post, linked to from Glassmessages.com, is actually an image I posted in that forum from my own personal collection, and identified as Welz in that post. The decor of that grouping is quite distinct, and the shape of the center front trophy vase in the linked image was shown in the Tango exhibition as Welz. The unique form is also shown in Truitt I and clearly identified as Welz.

Thanks again for your insight welzebub!

There seems to be no shame in denying what has been DOCUMENTED-- remember, these same folks said Welz didn't make glass!

Thanks shawn-- while the pieces with applied fruit and flowers are my favorites, I have pretty broad tastes.

I have a fairly good collection of welz now!
