    Had the chance to dig through old dump...Going back tomorrow, before the twenty degree weather sets in. Hoping to find rest of glass ball wind man .Mixture of items from 60's on back, getting older as I go deeper.........picture looks like silver not familiar with technique looks like hologram, maybe effects of being buried

      Your photo is from the 1850s! It is a daguerreotype-- thrown out much later than that time period?

      It has a silvery look to it and copper back

      Yep-- from your photo it is easily identified as a dag. The matting style puts it toward the end of the daguerreotype era.

      I found an old rusted claw foot with a chipped light Amethyst like marble clutched in the claw when I was a kid at my grandparents house, I carried that thing around for a long time.

      It does look like it came off a piano stool.
