These colourful drop earrings are silver gilt with Amethyst and enamel, in the middle of the stud is a blue stone, I have no idea what this stone is, any ideas?
They are suppose to be antique, looking from the back they do look old, in the last photo these are the markings on the back. The write up says that the earrings are Chinese, made for the export market. They are approx weigh 8.1 grams and are 3.1 cm long.
Many thanks for looking.
When I first saw these I thought they may be tanzanite, all over. At closer look, I'm unsure by photo but here's a link to ponder.

Hi shareurpassion, many thanks for link, comment and love. It could be Cbt or a G b. If the middle stone was Tanzanite they wouldn't be very old, has Tanzanite was founded in the 1960's. The stones on the drops are a Amethyst colour. I bought them from the States, the only thing I can say is the seller said they were made in China for the export market.
Hi peasejean. I really don't think they were made in china, I believe they sign everything now. I do know that the darker amethysts are heat treated for the darker color and the bottom stones look like that...take them outside in the sunlight and see what color they all give off. Tanzanite throws some great colors.
From here it looks like the top stones are giving off a purple hue as well. It's just so hard to tell and I use my TV as a monitor...so it's big. I wish I knew. I still don't think China tho. Regardless, I really like these!
I've tried to put a email address, but it doesn't seem to want to go to the link.
If you go to ruby lane and put in Chinese silver enamel earrings, you'll find a pair very similar to these the number is 0015-0891. I'm useless on computers lol.
LOL! No worries. It took me awhile to figure that out too. What you do is when you are on the page where you see the item, go to the top search bar where it says http://www.https// and whatever else is there, put your arrow in front of the first w up there and click and hold and drag your mouse. It should be all in blue. Then right click, a box will appear, go to copy and click. then go back here and in this box where you are commenting, right click again then hit paste. It should add the link.
maybe you should look on youtube, and type in how to copy and paste a link. My directions probably just confused you...sorry :) You will be glad you learned to do this. It really is easy once you know how. (I learned after I got on CW)
OMG!!! I found it and they are, I want to say exact!!! I'm shocked, really! And I can't even believe the prices they're charging!!! What the heck?! Where the heck have I been??? HA!
Many apologies, I had no idea!!! And I have to say thank you for sharing that, not only did I learn something, I also found something different I going to make. I'll post when done :) Thank you!
I'm so glad you've found them, I've been going crazy trying to copy, paste etc. I will do as you advise and go and visit youtube, lol. I'm using a iPad, so I would have thought I'd find it easier, oh well I'm glad you saw them. Many thanks shareurpassion for your help. :-))
