I picked this up for less than $3 and it quickly became my favorite piece of glass, yet I know nothing about it. I have had no success in learning anything about it and haven’t seen any more like it anywhere. It’s about 5” across and about 4” deep.
I’m hoping someone here can help me discover its story.

Yes it is a pontil. It somehow manages to compliment the inside of the bowl seen in picture 3.
