Years ago I used to collect salt and pepper shakers. Those days are over but this is a set I bought at the very first auction I went to.

I'm not too crazy about live auctions, I can't handle the adrenalin rush! haha

The Uncle Moses wobbles a little and it scared me to no end, I thought he was going to tip over when they wheeled out the cart they were on. Well, as you can see, he's hanging in there and it's been over 30 years and is the same condition now. That's just luck tho.

Most of these sets are in red and you all know by now, blue has been in my collection (I should say "museum" right eye? haha) for some time now and that's why I bought them.

    Thanks for looking.

LL These two are long gone now. They were my first purchase at an acution back in the mid 80's. An experience I'll never forget!

I feel that way at times just on ebay lol... so i bet! I was in California 2 years ago. Was not what i expected! Of coarse i went when it was kinda cold. Beautiful flowers tho!

Think these went with a blue stove. Nice
    18. shareurpassion shareurpassion, 7 years ago
roaddog, that's very possible. I was just reading the comments and I didn't say why I would never forget that first live auction, one of the main reasons was because the little man shaker kept wobbling! I thought for sure he was going to do a face plant! Yesterday I saw a stove like I used to have. A 1930's Wedgewood, black and white with the light that came from the back and up and over. I loved that stove! I'll go back there and take a photo of it. Thanks for the comment!

Lamplover, how's your collection going? I have 3 sets left. I'll have to post them. You do know a very good tell tail sign of the authentic old ones is the bottom hole where the cork goes, because they are never perfectly round!

A very belated thank you to those of you that stopped by!
