      Could be as far back as late 50's - little bit of trivia for ya;
      KOOL cigarettes were originally called Penguin Cigarettes (1931) - hence the Penguin mascot. The name was changed to KOOL in 1933

      You're pretty knowledgeable. Thanks for the info. Say the only thing I could come up with was early 60's from other sites I've checked. The ones I saw that sold at Barret Jackson was listed as early 60's if I remember right.

      You can base this on the Penguin - he changed design several times over the years and your type started in 1955
