Here is a vintage (antique) child's? suitcase that I just picked up for a mere $14. It's canvas covered, has Eagle Lock Company latches and is very small. It's hinged with a heavy leather strip across the back.
It was very dirty when I got it. I simply cleaned the hardware, exterior and interior and sealed the canvas with bees wax and conditioned the leather handle.
Judging by how it's made, I'm guessing this to be from the early 1900's. I thought it'd make a nice addition to my growing collection.
If anyone has any input on how old this is or what it was actually used for, I welcome everyone's comments.
Thanks for looking!!
