    THIS IS A VERY NICE TOY. THE WHEELS ARE WOODEN HUBBED WITH STEEL RIMS. THE UNIT IS HEAVY. THERE ARE NO MARKINGS ANYWHERE.

      These were very well done reproductions, produced in the mid 1990's. They were made and imported from the Phillipines. I know this because I sold them in my store (clearly described as a reproduction). They were sold also at a lot of auctions with no mention of this. The company also mades doll buggys and wood bird cages.

      These were also mass produced in the 50's and 60's, and made to look old as with those made in the 90's, they have been showing up at flea markets, auctions, etc with people trying to pass them off as early 1900's pieces, they are still collectable, most using them as decorative pieces for their homes. Figuring which were produced in the 50's and 60's to those produced in the 90's is the tricky thing to figure out.
