Again from my older Glass files (and a poor quality cell phone pic - Sorry - Must update these to new pictures). A Nice 1960's Murano Green Art Glass bowl. The label was starting to come off so I used some tape to make sure it does not come off. This piece I found about 7 years ago. I call this label the "Rooster with the Bad Hair Day".....LOL
I have always wondered about this label. These have been seen on Cenedese, Galliano Ferro, Venini, and even Barovier pieces. It appears to be an *Import label*.
Also on these labels there are always a couple smaller letters (initials?) on them such as: *AS*, *AF*, *AQ* (etc). I have always wondered what those smaller letters mean and IF they have any significance at all to the maker or anything for the piece. Mine here has a *AS* on it just before the M on the label. Anyone know IF these initials mean anything??
Known Murano (rooster) labels like this have been seen along with Galliano Ferro labels on pieces....
Thanks for looking. Any additional info is welcomed!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR !!
Very nice! I do believe that it is an ashtray judging by the small indent opposite the label.
Love the green too!
