In the 1970's, 80's early 90's I use to DJ, I no longer do it but I still collect vinyl LP's, 45's. The photos don't show all there is (3 times more. It's eclectic with many styles of music like: 1968-74 funk, jazz 1930's, 40's, 50's 60's, 70's, 80's, classic rock 60's-70's, blues, Latin jazz, R&B, soul, vintage Christmas, comedy, Documentary, Du wop, 1950's rock-roll, out of print, one of a kinds, classical, rare, 400 still factory sealed and more. one of my last big find was a house that contained about 50,000 records, I made a deal with the owner and I got first pick. It took 3-4 hrs a day for 5 months to go through them all, I came out with about 5000 best of the best 98% scratch free, I still play them. I'll get the photos from that up soon.

while shopping at Best Buy during Xmas....they had two Turn Table's on display for sale....told my husband I wanted one to listen to my father's records. Hope to get one for my bday :) I see so many awesome records in the thrift stores and never buy....but once I get my record player I'm going hunting :)

melaniej your father may have had 78's also, when looking at your turn table of choice check what speeds they play, the main 3 on TT are:78, 33, 45 rpm's, thrift stores are hit an miss, your best finds would be Estate sales just be there early.
packrat-place I hear you on that, it would take time to move them, there's 30 boxes I have to still go through.

The fun part of the records are when friends are over, there's a lot of history there. A local radio station wants me to come in as guest DJ to spin some of this stuff once I gave them a partial list of what I had. Thanks!!
Do you have a copy of ZZ Top Tres Hombres and if so does it have a double lable on side 1 like mine does?
