Art Deco Candleholders

Here is a pair of my favorite chrome, Art Deco candleholders, circa 1930's. They were part of a giftware line for the Manning Bowman Company. These very rare candleholders are part of a tableware centerpiece set designed by Arban "Jay" Ackerman. The set is called "Glamouresque," and it also includes the centerpiece object pictured in Jim Linz's "Art Deco Chrome" book in the last picture. I've searched in vain to find the matching centerpiece object depicted in the book, so if anyone has one please let me know!

These candleholders reflect the iconic Machine Age, streamlined style. I love the geometry of the polished chrome circles intersecting with each other. A very modern design for the 1930's.
