AmphoraPot…
(48 items)
I bought this shortly after I began collecting Amphora. The pastel design on the neck is found on a number of early Amphora models so I thought this must be Amphora. Instead, it was made by Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanfabrik Triebner Ens & Co. in Germany between 1895 and 1898, the same time Amphora was using that pastel pattern. I imagine this means that somebody copied somebody. It is 8.5 inches high.
This piece appears to be about as close as this manufactory ever got to Art Nouveau. If you do a web search you will find lots of stuff that is far from it.
Happy New Year!!!
