I came across this vase a few months ago, and mentioned it at the time to my husband - and was very happy to have it appear as a Christmas gift last week! (He knows my love of Rindskopf too well!) :) It is my first Rindskopf crackle vase, and in a rather unusual shape, too. I have only seen it once before in a 12.25" size, and once in a smaller 7" size. Mine is 7.75" tall, and the body is a deep ruby red glass with an iridescent, very rough crackle finish - it is actually quite sharp to the touch in some places! It looks to have had frit applied prior to the crackle treatment, which I think gives it such a rough and interesting texture.
