This superb form was designed by Franz Hofstötter for the Paris Exhibition of 1900, where it was shown in metalgelb PG 358 "black-bottom". (see last photo scan of Ploil, Lötz auf der Weltausstellung Paris 1900, p.30). This is a variant of the newly documented "Orchis" decor, where the blue spots cover the entire piece. (ganz blau getupft = all blue spotted), 17.3 cm (just shy of 7 inches) tall. Happy New Year, everyone!

AVERY BEAUTIFUL FORM!!!
What a great beginning to the year, WARREN !!!
Super form...love it!....:-)
Wow...great start to the new year!
Wonderful mix of colors.
Great example, Warren. Happy New Year! Yippee
Warren, I'm sure your already noticed this: 1) PN II-355 in Band 2 lists an "Orchis" decor. I wonder what that decor looks like! 2) Series II shows paper pattern II-354 instead of your shape for PN II-355. It's a good thing we own more than one Loetz resource otherwise it would be pretty confusing trying to connect the dots sometimes.
Deb, I sure did notice both things. Series II has the right descriptions, but the wrong photo. I am also curious about Orchis. I have started doing some preliminary searching, but nothing yet.
Super piece Warren!
Amazing collection. Simply breathtaking when viewed in person I'm sure.
