I found this is set in jewelry box that I purchased at auction but I am having difficulties identify the stones. I was thinking that they might be white turquoise but I am not sure. The earrings are stamped Japan. Can anyone help me idenfity this set maybe an era? Any information would be helpful.

    The necklace is 18" long.

Is it possible these are glass not stone? Japanese glass jewelry was well made and quite advanced. Just a thought!

I was thinking the same thing, White Buffalo Turquoise but was hesitant to say so. They are stone, I can see that in a couple of the photos. I can also see where it looks a lot like spatter glass beads too, but stick with the stone decision.

Now the name Japan confuses me too tho. That particular turquoise comes from the Arizona and Nevada In the U.S. Beats the heck outta me! Really nice set tho.

Racer and share are echoing all my thoughts. I thought this might be glass, and how would turquoise beads end up in a Japanese piece? Very lovely pieces.

Thank you guys, does it help if I say that they are quite heavy? The necklace and earnings weigh 5.2 ounces total, which is why I thought that they were stones.
