110 yr old Shanghai door repurposed

I found this piece maybe 10 yrs ago in a collectors boutique in Toronto. The owners of the shop travel the world filling shipping containers with furnishing gems. Gotta love that job, lol. They gave some details when I purchased it. From what I remember; it says "even in the north orchards will grow". Which I took to be a metaphor for, even under extreme conditions beautiful things will flourish. Being that it was -20°C when I made the purchase, it seemed appropriate. The dimensions are 6'5"×3". It has hung above my couch since I acquired it. Huge conversation piece... Hope you like the pics.
