This mystery item is a small unsigned pottery bowl measuring 4 1/2" across. It appears to be quite old with a scorched bottom. Cream coloured areas are a wet glaze with some crazing while the brown areas are matte. I think it is Japan because of the shape and style of glazing, however, I am no expert. I would really appreciate if someone out there could identify it.
