This is a pewter bangle made in 1978 by Hantverkarnas Tenn in Jokkmokk, Sweden. They made pewter with samic traditional designs in pewter and silver. I haven´t been able to find out who the maker is although the initials are marked inside the bangle, Ithink its "TN". In the last photo I show it together with my sami bracelet that you can see in a separate post. I think they look great together.

Thanks Zowie, pewter jewelry was quite popular in scandinavia around the 60's. I think prices on silver was high and the artists wanted to find something else to work with. A lot of the designs are very modernist and experimental (this bangle isn't in that style). I buy some pieces I like now and then. I think in a few years people will find them cool and prices will go up...better make sure I have some already. I will try to find a link for some of thoss ones here soon.

Hi Zowie, thanks it was alright but rain here to which was a shame. All the snow that came yesterday is gone :(. It's thursday evening here. The lasagna is in the owen... Tomorrow it's wonderful friday! My favourite day of the week. Hope you will have better weather soon :).
