I'm doing a bit of catching up on my posting. I have a few pieces that I picked up over the last month or so that I found interesting. Found at GW's this 10" Chinese figurine looks like Jade but alas it's just a resin composite. It sits on a fret work black base. The adoring couple lead me to believe it's meant to be given as a wedding present. There's a fancy impressed mark on the bottom but I'm not even sure of the orientation let alone what it translates to. Didn't see it on Gotheborg's but I can probably guess "Made in China". It's actually a very nice heavy piece and the light passes through just like real Jade. -Mike-

I finally tracked down the exact maker of this piece. It turns out that it is a mid-century (60's-70's) Italian piece made by Wony LTD. most of the pieces are attributed to the artist G. Ruggeri. You can see the remains of the label. Some were oval and green as this one appears to have been others were round pink labels which were most likely earlier. Mystery solved ! -Mike-
STUNNING AND LOVE THE VASE !!! FOR THE OTHER POSTING :)
