This truly is an amazing can. Made by The R.M. Hollingshead Co in Camden NJ. Castor Axle oil for carriages and buggies. Upon my research this dates between 1895-1910 and is in really really good shape for the age of it. It still had some of the oil in it but I think I'm going to empty it. Also, RM Hollingshead is said to have come up with the idea of the drive-in movie theatre. The factory in Camden which made this oil and other products burned down in the early 40s.

I have a standard oil can that list all uses for saddles, harnesses, and other early transportation items and on the last line it says and for truck axles.
