This Art Deco decanter is a peachy-pink, smokey color with a leaf and crosshatch design engraved into the decanter and glasses. Circa 1930's. I think this might be leaded crystal because the glass is very heavy and thick, but I'm not sure. I've always wondered if it was safe to use and drink out of these old decanters due to the lead in them--anyone know?
I believe this is European glass. To me, the design screams French, especially with the flat black glass top and black glass bottom and the ribbed nickel or chrome neck. But it could also be Bohemian or Czech glass.
stunning!!!!
