I recently acquired these 2 chairs at an estate auction of a Military Commander. I researched them on several sites, they seem like Eastlake, but I am not at all sure. does anyone know/? And what kind of wood does this look like? They have little casters on the front legs, & are sturdy. I have seen no marks, should I take the black fabric covering the bottom & look there for any marks?
    Thanks so much!

You got it: Eastlake Victorian, very late 19th century. Wood looks to be the typical Eastlake walnut.
