This is the rubbed out makers mark on the gold ring, I wonder if anyone can make it out , my eyes seem to be failing me .
This is my favourite ring. | ||

Oh yes, I see what you mean...very faded...I just love this ring! I wish I knew the style for you, but someone will, I believe...there are great jewelry collectors here :)
Thank you, maybe if I take it to the jewellers he will know,
Oh yes, a great idea! It is special...I appreciate you sharing, I learned some things:)
Thank you for your time , half the fun of collecting is the investigation.x
No problem, wish I could have been more help :) and I agree, a lot of fun! Keeps updated :)

It looks like there are more marks than the ones showing in the photos? Any chance of a better closeup of the marks, so we can help you?

Elizabethan, there is another post of this ring, showing the marks :) Thank you bitsnbobs!
Thanks Jewels , I'm having great difficulty trying to magnify the marks and take a picture by myself .
Yes thanks, I just realized. I didn't get any closer to the answer though but you had put a link that was realy interesting. So Birmingham before 1932, is that the last uppdate in the research?
Hi I never read the link , but the mark is either 1878 or 1879, I'm going to take it to the jewellers maybe he can read it.Thank you.
I took the ring to the jewellers but he couldn't read it either.
Ohhh really, that's too bad, but at least you know some about it :)
Yes , thanks jewels.
