This is thin paper coca cola sign. It is roughly 13" by 22". The wording is "ice cold cocoa cola bottles sold here" "Trademark Registered" is printed in the tail of the "C" on coca. The edging on the sign is a very dark blue or possibly black with the same colors outlining the letters. Other colors are red and yellow. My father cut a cardboard back for the sign and has covered it with cellophane. Any information on the sign would be greatly appreciated.

Could the color be dark green? Is it heavy paper almost cardboard?
    2. GregSmith, 10 years ago
hello it could be very dark green, but the ad itself is very thin.

I don't see it in the books and couldn't find any auction records. As Edisonfan hints, it's similar to a 1920's thick paper stock sign. It could be a thin paper version from the period, or a later copy. Condition is rough but it is paper after all. Maybe one of the Old Coke Sign pros will know and chime in.

I can't believe that I forgot; it has the number 6555 in the bottom left hand corner. I will take better pictures tonight and post. Thanks Greg

Certainly looks right. That color scheme is unique. earlycoke would know, you may want to reach out to Blaine at earlycoke@twc.com or perhaps he will stop by soon. Or finding an auction record, book listing, or period picture while researching is ideal.
