Would Appreciate Information On Stein And Artist

I recently purchased a stein on eBay. A major motivator for purchasing it was the image on the porcelain lid. It is the same as on an old painting I purchased several years ago. I would very much appreciate any information any one can offer on the stein itself - age (I think it is from the late 1800s but I'm not certain), maker, the inscription on the front of the stein, etc. I would especially appreciate information on the artist who originally created the image on my painting that was reproduced on this stein. I thought it might be by Franz DeFregger, a late 19th century artist whose works have appeared on many steins. However, I downloaded and viewed over 100 DeFregger paintings from the internet, and this one was not among them. Any information on the stein or the artist - or recommendations as to whom I might contact to get such information - will be very much appreciated.
