I use the heirloom to heat a sun room. Occasionally bake biscuits in it. It needs a new grate. Any help in steering me in the right direction will be appreciated.

The best part is that you are still using it!

You don't show what "grate" you need to replace but you can check "antique stove parts" and that may be able to provide a source for a replacement. Southern King is a brand name and I have seen others named Diamond King, Southern Comfort, Comfort Care, etc. with the same door emblem and the grates may be interchangeable between the brands. You would simply need to know the size of the grate.

The grate size is approx 9x18. Thanks for the info. I will try that website.

Hi, I recently came across a stove almost identical to this one but it has "southern charm" painted on it. I know it's a Sears Roebuck from around the 1920's but that's it. What is value of something like this? And did they paint different names on the front or was this a custom thing to do?
