What I found is Mr Charles H Boyle of New haven Conn. filed for a patent on feb
23, 1923 for a "Seeding device for grapefruit" "To remove the seeds and core from a grapefruit" He was issued a patent #620,373 on May 28. 1923.

I also have one of these implements marked as described. I was able to get a copy of the patent through Google patents and noted that the application was filed on February 21. 1923 Serial No.620,373 and the patent was issued May 8, 1923. The patent Number is 1,454,311. Thanks to the contributors for supply the information.
