Archimede Seguso (Murano, 1909 – 1999) was an entrepreneur and Italian master glassmaker.

Here he succeeded in space by reusing old blowing techniques such as the famous "Watermarks" calls to "Feather" and "Lace" in addition to experience and develop in the second half of the 20th century character glasses by overlapping colors and strong colour contrasts in the technique of "Flooded".

I think it was a BASE for something else ( of his pieces ).

Trying to figure out here -- I did find *another* Murano Art Glass Maker (LUCIANO GASPARI) that also had a square piece base under another piece.

      https://www.1stdibs.com/furniture/dining-entertaining/glass/xl-luciano-gaspari-murano-glass-block-sculpture/id-f_1165270/

So ( I assume ) a Glass Block base made for one of his pieces ?? but the top now lost ??
