      Need more pictures but based on the cigarette rests I see, its an ashtray

      Agree with agh. And I bet it's on a wrought iron stand that stands around2 to 3 feet tall.

      Agree, it is a glass bowl ashtray on a pedestal, probably wrought iron.

      It isn't on a cast iron stand it was in my lap. its kind of obvious that it is a glass ashtray. i was just wanting to get more info on it. its a damn good quality glass. i dropped it from chest level ( I'm 5' 9"), on to concrete. anf it bounced like a rubber ball. it didn't crack or anything.

      you'll need to post better photos, well lit and in focus at different angles, and give measurements. tho' likely a generic heavy ashtray of unknown origin...
