Hi, I came across this slotted spoon/sifter in a box of miscellaneous items (along with a few other bits I have questions about) whilst clearing out my grandparents bungalow. I have trawled the internet but as yet have not been able to identify the pattern or maker.
The only markings are a registration mark/lozenge which itself is unclear.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know the pattern, the spoons are probably Victorian and used for shaking sugar over food. I hope that helps a little.

Registration mark is 1882, , cool pattern, regidstered in England but may have been imported because if english it should have hallmarks too & a maker mark !
Look carefully through the pattern for any other marks ;-)

Don't know but notice in the pattern what looks to be a silk handfan and some bamboo. Could this sugar sifter be imported from asia?

Wood and huges of New York had a flatware pattern called japanese and one called lovebird, that makes me think of yours. There seams to have been japanese inspirations in flatvare in the late 1800's.

The registration mark is moulded and was not added later so an English origin for sure. No hallmarks means that it is silverplate and not sterling. If imported to England as a silver object it would have had to have an impressed import mark too.
The registration mark would be the second one here:

The year mark is a bit unclear to my eye. The day and month are easier.
