Here is pair of Art Deco, bakelite boxes, trademarked with the GE logo of the General Electric Company. They are circa 1930's, and they are sometimes referenced as being a souvenir item that were available during one of the World's Fairs in the 1930's. I believe they are vanity boxes. The black and green version is the most common, but there are other combinations with the black base and red, white, yellow, and black lids. The all red version with the brass knobs is a very rare color according to Keresztury's "Art Deco Bakelite Jewelry and Boxes" book.
