A few days ago, I was able to add a new Welz vase to my collection - my first in the Vertical Lines decor. I bought it from a seller with not so good pictures, and was very pleased to see it in person when it arrived. One thing I feel about Welz from my own experience, is that the vases are typically more lovely in person than in most photographs (even good ones!). There is a brilliancy of color and a depth to the glass of the Welz vases that is difficult to capture on film, I think. This vase stands 6" tall, and is faintly acid marked 'made in Czechoslovakia' in a style often seen on Welz vases. Interestingly enough, the vertical stripes can easily be felt on the inside of the vase, where they are raised.
A classic Welz décor.... Nice example!!
Thanks, Craig! :)
Gorgeous......a vase after my own heart!
Hi Sklo. What a lovely shape & colour vase. I've seen blue & have a green but never come across orange with strips like this nor this shape. Very nice.
Beautiful vase... I love the colors!
