I thought I'd put a couple of Bernard Instone brooches, to show the broad range of styles in his Jewellery.
The enamel one is I think the older one, if you look at the hinge it is a C clasp. I love his enamelling the colours to me are wonderful, it is marked Silver, no makers mark, which was common for Bernard Instone.
The next one was probably made in the 1930s with I think Citrine stones and Marcasite. This one is marked Silver and B I.
They would have both been handmade by him.
If anyone thinks I have the wrong age please tell me.
Many thanks for looking.
This is a very interesting range. Thank you for sharing... I love both.
Lovely pieces, great colors.
They are beautiful and beautifully made.
