Found this 3" high badge (shield), cleaning out my Uncle's estate. I know his brother was in the Navy during WWII, but what research I could do doesn't have the Federal Fire Department being formed until after WWII. From top to bottom, in blue enamel, are the words "FIREFIGHTER", "FEDERAL", "FIRE DEPT", "NAVY". Would love to know it's history.
