Designed in 1938 by David Dunberg, this American, Art Deco humidor or cigarette holder is made of both bakelite (or catalin) and chrome. They came in a variety of colors as shown in the photograph from Keresztury's "Art Deco Bakelite and Jewelry Boxes." The insert holds 28 cigarettes. Seems like a very masculine object that would be on the businessman's desk at the time.
They seem very rare to find these days, and some of those other colors are fabulous. A great design.
Quite nice! I really love the design and color as well!
stunning!!!
Beautiful piece!
These are wonderful and I love!! the colour you have and I would put it on my! desk or side table...even though I am not a businessman!...:-)
