Wingspan of this cute birdie is 3.3/8", enamel has a soft mate finish I love!

This buy allowed me to identify the maker of my light purple butterfly in precedent post:

THOMAE ! The story began in 1920 when Charles Thomae founded his company : Charles Thomae Co. of Attleboro, Mass.
On Pinterest you can see the same in original state:

Pic #2 is the result of my restore work ;-)
Pic #3 is the Thomae maker's mark (made to look like Sheffield hallmark, but the letter doesn't match Sheffield board for date letters, and the Lion passant isn't quite same).

Oh... I just noticed the comment with the explanation.... I have another piece ( the deco bracelet) that I can try it on first... :) Then I can venture out with the butterfly.

Kyra, I've got a little butterfly I wish you could fix!!! Beautiful, missing a bit of enamel. :(

Katherine! Wish I could! Hope you will post it to see :-)

      You may try my technique!

      Material used for my restorations:

= jewellers fiberglass pencil brush (brand LIBERTY scratch brush fiber glass)
      = nail polish pearly white
= Pébéo painting on glass discovery kit (colors in the kit : crimson, lemon, orange, chartreuse green, sky blue, gold) + Pébéo vitrail (=painting on glass) medium lightening.
= LETRASET Promarker set of 12 colors + blender

      My technique is :

      - clean thoroughly the damaged area (now I use a jeweller fiberglass brush)
      - take a small amount of pearly white nail polish with a tooth pick and apply carefully on the metal only where is the lack of enamel.
      - let dry completely.
      - apply matching color (or blend primary colors on an aluminium sheet to get matching color!) always with a tooth pick, by tiny drops until the damaged area is covered (don't rub, use the tooth pick as a pen to go to the edges of the piece!)
      - apply the medium lightener same way to get an even surface (DON'T RUB...)
      - put the piece in cold ELECTRIC oven, start fan heat up to 65° celsius, allow to dry for 15/20 minutes.
      - When cold, check it's non finger sticky, then use the fiber glass brush lightly to create the same effect than the existing enamel surface.

      That's all!!!
