This pretty, hand-held fan belonged to my mother (step, but she raised me), born in Cebu, PI.
I have had it in my possession since she passed in 1993.
It measures approx. 16" across when fanned out and approx. 7" along the frame/handle.
It appears to be an ivory color plastic throughout with silk quality threads holding it together.
The handles/frame has an intricate design and reads Hong Kong.
Mom arrived in the U.S.A. in 1946 as a war bride. She and my father married in Manila in 1946 while he was stationed there during WWII.
It is in good condition, considering its age.
