Do I see something like a swirled small *e* in the bottom in the one pic?

I think I have something here too with something like that -- interesting. Will check/find my bowl

antiquerose didn't pay it no mind until you said something......interesting.....can't wait to see your bowl. You know I have no in depth knowledge of art glass I buy what my eye likes ;). Guess I need to start reading and researching.......my pottery already drives me insane with the researching :)

I am trying to find if I still have my pics of it....it had the swirled little *e* like your. I had always wonder * IF * it might have been Chalet Glass and the small *e* was for EATONS as a lot of Chalet Glass was sold there. I have NO proof of that, but I have seen this small *e* on a pic of mine, yours, and some others over the years. I also have seen some on Ebay too. They are far and few between, but it always caught my eye -- as it gotta be/mean something for a mark/marked.

*** So I am pointing this out now --- As it HAS to be a Mark for something. Just can not be by accident I have spotted this on a few items over the years.

I will keep digging through all my images. It might be still on a flash drive here. All I know was it was from my early days of collecting...so gonna take some digging here

...PS -- I do not know if related to Chalet Glass --- Or maybe just Eatons, or nothing at all. I have no clue, but the small letter *e* has caught my eye over the years.

It was the FIRST thing I noticed in your post --- "Here it is again, that scrolled letter *e*....Hmmmmm..."

antiquerose, if I had to guess, I'd say that's where the swirl pattern starts and hence the "e". Like stirring chocolate syrup into milk! :)

I have been looking for this for a while, as I wanted to post another pic I found on line with this "Scrolled e". As again, I do not think this was something that just happened -- I think it is a MARK !!! Plus I also had a piece with this mark on it too.

See this other link I found on-line, this show the back side of it:

      http://antiques2jewelry.com/amber%205.jpg

and here is where it is from (about halfway down) they call *HONEY AMBER MURANO GLASS DISH*:

      http://antiques2jewelry.com/glass_art.htm

They refer to it there as [quote] """"The bottom has a "C" type signature swirled in white color into the glass""".

Now that one in the LINK - has a rim with Gold Flakes in it -- Which one would NOT think is Chalet, but I have seen some RARE Chalet that has some flakes in it. For Example:

      http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/152518-rare-chalet-art-glass-bowl-ashtray-and

So I am still wondering with the Scroll e on the Bottom, if it is not Chalet -- or did Chantilly ( Canada) do any marks like this??

It has got to be something -- as I have now seen 3 pieces with this mark.

      ~ Interesting ~

      That is very interesting
Thank you for continuing to figure it out....drives me insane sometimes but it's part of the fun.
