    I would like more information about this item please, as in age of item, what it was for & if it is an ventage or antique. If someone could help it would be nice to know.
    I just think it is a cool looking old valve lathe lash seating tool!

      This is a tool for refacing auto valves. There is a Ford Model A valve in it now. It won't set the lash. It isn't a very good way to do that task.

      i know it is older than me. LOL
      I believe it dates back to the 1900's from what little bit i could find in researching it.
      My husband and i recently used it as a conversation piece to the past in automotive conversation. Got very curiouse about it.
      I wouldn't want to have to use it today. LOL

      I think you have a tool made in Canada. Try researching the company patents.

      It has a PAT PEND on it so i don't think it is a Patent # fhrjr2
      Thank you for that onformation though.

      The Pat Pending means they applied for one, therefore there must be a record of it.

      The company is listed in American Machinist as being organized in July 1920.
